Welcome to Solstice With Egg 2013.
This year's heavy on electronic music; it's been just an amazing year for electronic and electroacoustic stuff.
A huge honorable mention to Kendrick Lamar, whose "good kid, m.A.A.d city" is now probably my favorite hip hop album of all time. I just could not for the life of me manage to shoehorn a track from it into this mix without stepping on the overall vibe. But it really deserves a serious listen.
The Songs: Ohia track is from 2002, but I wanted to give a shout out to Jason Molina (aka Songs: Ohia, Magnolia Electric Co.), who died tragically and prematurely this year.
Thanks to everyone who turns me on to new music, and everyone who mentions or asks about these mixes; that's why I keep doing them :)
